For rising 6th graders and existing IS Students (5-8):
*Late arrivals to school
Please come into the office with your child if they are late to school and sign them in. Lower School students must be accompanied by a parent if they are arriving late. If your child is in middle school and your are not accompanying them to school, please call William or Lorraine at 212-266-5800 to let them know you are aware your child is arriving late.
If your child is traveling or out of school for more than 3 days please advise William Wilson in the main office or email your child’s itinerary to firstname.lastname@example.org and advise your child’s teacher. This will not “excuse” your child’s absence but it will be marked as an “explained” absence. Please bring in a note if your child has seen a doctor or dentist as well.
-If you must drop off and pick your child to and from school in a car please pull over on First Place instead of in front of the school building or cross walk.
-Please cross Battery Place at the corner, NOT IN BETWEEN THE CARS. Traffic police will begin issuing tickets to those who are jay walking. Please teach your child the safest way to cross the streets for practice when they are on their own. Read more...
