PTA Executive Board & School Leadership Team Nominations

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2016 - 2017 PTA Executive Board and School Leadership Team.

The Executive Board oversees and facilitates the activities of the PTA, and is made up of the following officers: Co-Presidents, Co-First Vice Presidents, Co-Second Vice Presidents, Co-Secretaries, and Co-Treasurers. The Executive Board meets monthly, generally on the first Tuesday evening of each month.

The School Leadership Team (SLT) exists to develop the school's Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP) and to evaluate the effectiveness of the school's educational programs and their impact on student achievement. The SLT is composed of Principal Terri, the United Federation of Teachers Chapter Chair, one of the PTA Co-Presidents, elected teachers and elected parents. The SLT meets monthly, generally on the Wednesday afternoon prior to the monthly PTA General Membership meeting.

Please send an e-mail to pta@bpcschool.org if you would like to learn more about the available positions, or if you or someone you know would like to run. Nominations will be accepted through the close of the PTA General Membership meeting on Friday, May 13, and the election will be held during the June PTA General Membership meeting on Friday, June 10.

Lower School students must be accompanied by a parent if they are arriving late. If your child is in middle school and your are not accompanying them to school, please call William or Lorraine at 212-266-5800 to let them know you are aware your child is arriving late.

If your child is traveling or out of school for more than 3 days please advise William Wilson in the main office or email your child’s itinerary to  wwilson9@schools.nyc.gov and advise your child’s teacher. This will not “excuse” your child’s absence but it will be marked as an “explained” absence.
